Law Students for Community Advancement believes that nothing brings a community together better than good conversation. Therefore, LSCA sponsors FREE educational events open to local community members to get the conversation started. Check out what we are doing in the coming months.
LSCA'S FILM & SPEAKER SERIES
Each semester, LSCA will host at least one film and speaker event, made possible through LSCA's collaboration with the award-winning documentary series POV (www.pbs.org/pov).
Between Two Worlds - -Parts 1 and 2 of the 2017/18 series - - looks at immigration in the 21st Century, focusing on the Syrian refugee crisis, and President Trump's efforts to undo DACA and the "dreamer" movement.

BETWEEN TWO WORLDS, PART II: DON'T TELL ANYONE (NO LE DIGAS A NADIE) - MARCH 9, 2018
Since the age of 4, Angy Rivera has lived in the United States with a secret that threatens to upend her life: She is undocumented. Now 24 and facing an uncertain future, Rivera becomes an activist for undocumented youth with a popular advice blog and a YouTube channel boasting more than 27,000 views.
Join us for a screening of Don't Tell Anyone (No Le Digas a Nadie), an inspiring film that follows Rivera's remarkable journey from poverty in rural Colombia to the front page of The New York Times.
Screening preceded by a presentation by SJCL Professor and Director of the New American Legal Clinic (NALC), Gregory Olson, and NALC Staff Attorney, Joshua Longoria.
